Located on the northern banks of the Manyuchi Dam is Manyuchi Lodge. Constructed in 2012 the Lodge and Campsite owned by founder Mr and Mrs O.Z Shiriyapenga born and resident in Neshuro, Mwenezi, the establishment is the only resort in the north-west part of Mwenezi District. It offers a tranquil environment within the communal area of Magomana to carry out various activities and yet embracing the comfort of home away from home.

With an exquisite view of the Manyuchi dam from various locations within the compound a visit to this magnificent destination is a must. Manyuchi dam is one of Zimbabwe’s hidden gems, constructed in 1989 by International Construction Zimbabwe a division of Murray & Roberts along the river Mwenezi. It covers a surface area of 33Km2 with islands within. It is the 4th largest in-land water body in Zimbabwe with a water volume of 303,473 mega-litres and rises to a height of 25m at its deepest. The dam provides irrigation water for sugarcane estates. It has a dam wall with a flood gate termed the ‘white rose’ from the way the water pours out when open. This can be viewed from 2 adjacent view decks with fine mist from the water spray.
